The Auberge de L'Arac is ideally situated in a mountain valley, offering fantastic cycling on virtually traffic free roads right from the front door. There is no need to spend hours each day in the back of a van being transported to your next ride. Simply get on your bike hop on and take off.

Within a radius of 20Km you can put yourself to test on some famous Pyrenean cols such as Col d'Agnes, Col de Core, Col de la Trappe and the punishing Col de Crouzette. That still leaves many more to discover. Even Plateau de Beille is possible for those with a bit more energy in their legs.

This year's Tour de France passes close by on Saturday 16th July with a stage that finishes at Plateau de Beille en route passing over the Col de la Core into Seix (8Km away) and up over the Col d'Agnes. So you have a fantastic opportunity to view the tour by bike or visit some of the other Pyrenean stages by car.

If you prefer rolling hills to mountain peaks then come and discover the lovely valley roads of the Couserans and the Volestre where the views are magnificent and the effort required slightly less.

Maps of the area are available which will enable you to plan your route with care and bicycles can be stored in a secure garage. For a small extra fee we can arrange to pick up/drop you and your bikes from the local airports/railway stations.

Breakfast, lunches (including packed) and evening meals are available at the Auberge, even if you are staying in one of the Gites. As well as our standard regional cuisine in the restaurant we can offer high carbohydrate options at an economical price including vegetarian to provide the essential fuel for next day's ride.
