The Auberge de l'Arac is ideally situated in a mountain valley, offering fantastic cycling on virtually traffic free roads right from the front door. There is no need to spend hours each day in the back of a van being transported to your next ride. col d'AgnesSimply get out your bike,hop on and take off.

Within a radius of 20km, you can put yourself to the test on some famous Pyrenean cols such as Col d'Agnes, Col de la Core, Col de la Trappe and, featuring in the 2008 Tour de France, Col de Crouzette. And that still leaves many more to discover. Even Plateau de Beille is possible for those with a bit more energy in their legs.

If you prefer rolling hills to mountain peaks, then come and discover the lovely valley roads of the Couserans and the Volvestre where the views are magnificent and the effort required significantly less.

Maps of the area and the Atlas de Cols for the region are available in the Auberge which will enable you to plan your routes with care. With a wealth of cycling experience and first hand knowledge of the area, we will also be happy to advise you. We can also offer basic bike maintenance, secure bike storage and a kit washing service, free for those staying 2 nights or more.

col de la CoreBreakfast and evening meals are available at the Auberge, even if you choose gîte accommodation. In the evening, we offer a set-menu based on regional cuisine but with plenty of carbohydrates to provide the essential fuel for the next day's ride. Vegetarian meals are available - just let us know when booking.
